My sister-in-laws taught me how to make sushi. Yesterday I attempted it on my own without any of them standing by.

every mom moment

Last night I laid in bed thinking about my day. Mostly my kids sense they are my day. I recalled him asking me and telling me lots of things (he is my talker after all.) Some of his thoughts I remember...some I don't quite recall. Did I answer him when he asked me that? Did he say something about this? Did I even make eye contact with him when he told me that? I was so busy running around doing Mom things, I may have forgot to actually be a Mom. I wish he was awake right now so we could talk. I want to know everything about his times test, what funny thing Ben did on the playground, which lego set is his favorite now, and why batman villians are so cool.

Every once in awhile I try to read something other than my kids' homework and my bank statement. My time to read is minimal. I try to choose wisely.

Book club is at my house tomorrow tonight. I am wondering what everyone else thought of Mrs. Kingsolver's novel.

I've subscribed to a lot of things in my day, but nothing that makes me quite as happy as this. A subscription to the ring of the month club, courtesy of cookoorikoo etsy shop.

we get off the plane...i blink...and we are boarding the plane to go back home. where did the time go? grateful for a few pictures. if not for them, i may be tempted to believe i imagined the whole thing.
