Elasta-Girl
Me. . . six weeks from my due date.
No where for this baby to go but out and out and out. And so my belly grows in size every day. I am sort of amazed at how my body accepts the challenge of growing a small being, size ?. I think it may be mocking me.
My body: "Bring it on! You have no idea to what extent I can stretch and expand."
Me: "No wait....I believe you! I believe you! "

Where's the remote?
Monday Night
9:00pm- Rob and I looking frantically for the remote to the T.V. Kids in bed. Our only chance to sit and veg. We look everywhere. Nothing.
9:00pm- Rob and I looking frantically for the remote to the T.V. Kids in bed. Our only chance to sit and veg. We look everywhere. Nothing.
9:30pm- Rob and I go to bed. Pathetic. . .I know.
Tuesday Morning
7:ooam- I ask Brynn, "Have you seen the remote to the T.V.?"
She says, "No."
7:04am- I ask Brock, "Did you do something with the remote?"
He says, "No."
7:06am- I then ask Cole, "Cole. . .where is the remote to the T.V.?"
Cole says, "It's in the hole."
What??????
Cole says, "It's in the hole in the ground."
7:07am- Me running (I mean waddling fast) down stairs. I know exactly what he has done. He has taken the remote and thrown it down the vent in the floor.
7:13am- Rob is laying on the ground with his arm as far down the vent as it can possibly go. Nothing.
7:14am- Rob fashions a small raking device out of a broken yard tool to try and get the remote.
7:15am- We all breathe a sigh of relief as he has retrieved our beloved remote.
7:15am- Rob to Cole, "Cole if you ever do that again you will be in bad bad trouble."
Cole to Rob, "O.K. Dad. I'm sorry. No more in the hole."

Embarrassed to Admit
This weekend I put my kids to bed and sat down on the couch thinking I would curl up and read a book. Instead I turned on the TV and found myself watching the lamest movie ever made. And yet, I continued to watch it. I kept telling myself the reason why I was still watching it was because I couldn't quite reach the remote to change the channel.
The real reason: I was just glad to be doing something completely mindless.
What movie was it?
"Honey" with Jessica Alba
I know. . .it's embarrassing. Please don't judge me.
(If my husband would have been home it would have never happened.)
And please tell me you have done the same. You know, watched a movie fully aware that you would be officially dumber for having subjected yourself to it.
If so, please use this post as a forum in which to relieve yourself of your embarrassment.
